Abstract
The arterial supply to heart of rat has been described. Observations were made by the embalmed specimens injected with neoprene latex.
The results were summarized as follows
1..A. coronaria arose from the initial portion of Aorta in heart.
2. A. coronaria dextra arose in Aortic sinus on 33 specimens, from the boundary of Aortic sinus on 1 specimen, and from the outside of Aortic sinus on 1 specimen.
3. A. coronaria sinistra arose in Aortic sinus on 31 specimens, from the boundary of Aortic sinus on 3 specimens, and from the outside of Aortic sinus on 1 specimen.
4. A. coronaria sinistra which arose from Aortic sinus divided into Ramus interventricularis and Ramis circumflexus. A. coronaria dextra which arose from Aortic sinus only runned continuously as Ramus interventricularis.
5. There was arisen A. coronaria sinistra nearby the boundary of Aortic sinus on 12 cases among 31 specimens which arose in Aortic sinus.
6. There was a double size A. coronaria dextra compared to A. coronaria sinistra in vessel diameter on 1 specimen.
7. These results indicate that A. coronaria of rat differ markedly from those of human, and differ somewhat from some other animals in their detailed distributions.
